Who gets saved from Leviticus?

Written by our first guest blogger, Chris Lautsbaugh, (our boss) who came to visit our team in the townships one night.

If you took a survey of the least read books of the Bible, Leviticus would surely be near the top. With all the sacrifices and offerings, rules, and blood; it can be difficult to get revelation from the book in devotional times. Well, for Mpho (not her real name) in Cape Town it was Leviticus that forever changed her destiny. It was on this Titus Project outreach in her township that she heard the gospel in Leviticus.

One of the most powerful lessons the teams give is Bible Overview, which walks people through God’s plan of redemption from cover to cover in the Bible.

This woman met Jesus that day in a tin church (pictured above), while hearing a message from of all places, Leviticus.
This was the teaching Mpho found herself listening. They walked through Creation, The Flood, Abraham, and the Exodus. But it was when she heard about sacrificing one animal for every sin that she was intrigued. She had seen animal sacrifice and rituals in her past to appease the ancestors. This was different. While the sacrifices in the Law dealt with one sin at a time, they pointed to something greater. She realized she needed something bigger, a Messiah. The team taught how Jesus fulfilled the Law and Sacrifices and as they gave an altar call, Mpho gave her life to the Lord. Thanks, Chris!

This is just one of the many stories we have to share. Readers,
We have missed you. The last 3 weeks have been some of the most rewarding & fruitful we have seen in a combined 15 years of ministry. So much so, we have no idea how to convey this.

More stories and snippets to come. Keep praying for us. The enemy hates what we are doing.

Do you have a cool, out of the ordinary, unorthodox, or surprising salvation story? We’d love to hear. If its in a blog post or about me section, post it here!
